Urgent recall of fish products distributed to East Coast stores amid fears it could cause killer disease
A Florida-based fish manufacturer has issued an urgent recall for products distributed to retailers across the east coast amid fears of botulism. North Fish USA is recalling its imported 9-ounce packages of Cold Smoked Capelin after a routine inspection by agriculture officials revealed the product may be contaminated. The fish were over 5" in length and had not been eviscerated, meaning the organs were still intact, the FDA stated. They were were sent to suppliers in New York and Georgia for further distribution in stores all along the coast.
