In March 1964, Taylor married her fifth husband,Richard Burton, in Montreal.

Their engagement rings were unique in design and became iconic pieces in their personal jewelry collections. For Grace and Taylor, though, the engagement rings they’re known for aren’t the ones their husbands initially proposed with. The center stones of their second engagement rings weighed in at over 10 carats and captured the attention of the public.

However, Rainier gave Grace a second ring while she was filmingHigh Society, which is the more well-known of the two. According toBrides, he reportedly offered to buy her a new ring after he learned she was going to wear a large fake engagement ring in the film.

Grace’s ring was estimated to cost $4 million at the time, which would be about $38.8 million today.

Trump's image to appear on limited-edition passports for America's 250th

The State Department is releasing a limited-edition U.S. passport to mark America's 250th anniversary and the document will feature President Donald Trump's image and signature on the inside cover, a White House official and a source familiar with the move confirmed.

ABC News

The inner page will feature Trump's portrait over a stylized image of the Declaration of Independence, according to mock-ups posted to social media by the State Department.

Dept. of State - PHOTO: The State Department is releasing a limited-edition U.S. passport to mark America's 250th anniversary and the document will feature President Donald Trump's image and signature on one of the inside covers.

Under current plans, the limited-edition passport will only be available through the Washington Passport Agency, while other offices and the online renewal system will still issue the standard design, a State Department official told ABC News.

However, the official said that while the limited-edition passport is available, applicants who receive a passport through the Washington Passport Agency will only be issued that design -- they cannot opt out.

Currently, the Washington Passport Agency offers services by appointment only. In order to book an appointment, applicants must have proof of international travel within two weeks and agree to pay a $60 dollar expedite fee.

Trump's signature will be added to US currency, Treasury says

A department official said the passport would be made available without any additional fees. It’s unclear whether the Trump administration might also waive the requirement to show proof of imminent international travel, and when these changes may take effect.

In announcing the limited-edition passport, a White House spokesperson said in a statement that "President Trump’s new patriotic passport design provides yet another great way Americans can join in the spectacular celebrations for America’s 250th birthday."

"President Trump continues to proudly lead a renewal of national pride and patriotism during our historic semiquincentennial celebration," the spokesperson said.

In March, the Treasury Department announced that Trump’s signature would be added to future U.S. paper currency, making him the first sitting president to have their name appear on currency.

Federal arts panel approves commemorative gold coin design with Trump's image

The Treasury said the decision was also in honor of the 250th anniversary of the U.S.

The announcement followed efforts to create two coins with Trump's image on them, a $1 coin and a special 24-karat commemorative gold coin.

President Calvin Coolidge was the only sitting president to have a coin with his image on it.

Federal law says no living president can appear on U.S. currency, though the administration has argued the restriction does not apply to coins.

Sydney Sweeney

Sydney Sweeneyfound herself in the spotlight of yet another viral moment this week after a short behind-the-scenes clip from the set of Euphoria spread rapidly across social media. The video appears to show the actress preparing for a scene when an unexpected sound is heard just as filming begins. The moment quickly caught attention online, with viewers debating whether the clip captured an unfiltered on-set mishap.

Video seemingly showing Sydney Sweeney farting is reportedly fake and made for clicks

Within hours, multiple versions of thefootagebegan circulating, racking up significant engagement, with at least one iteration surpassing a million views. Despite the speculation, the viral moment isn’t authentic in the way it’s being presented. According to a source with direct knowledge cited byTMZ, the footage itself is genuine, but the audio is not.

Someone edited the clip and added a sound effect, transforming an ordinary behind-the-scenes moment into something far more sensational. The altered version appears to have been created purely to grab attention. Just last month, speculation about an alleged feud involving Sweeney and co-star Zendaya made headlines after a behind-the-scenes image sparked online chatter. That claim, too, was later dismissed as unfounded.

Euphoria cast member Jessica Blair Herman dismissed rumors of a feud between co-stars Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney. Herman, who plays the neighbor of Sydney and Jacob Elordi’s characters in Season 3, said everyone got along well on set during an appearance on Good Day New York. “They really did,” she said. “And I’m not just saying that.”

HBO’s hit teen drama Euphoria has returned for its highly anticipated third season, and the episodes have already sparked intense backlash online. Much of the outrage was focused on Sweeney’s character, Cassie Howard, whose storyline takes a provocative and divisive turn in the new season. The third season of Euphoria, which also features Zendaya and late actor Eric Dane in leading roles, premiered on HBO earlier this month and is set to conclude on May 31.

Nicole Kidman's Bold & Backless Chanel Dress Dips Dangerously Low

Nicole Kidmancontinues to prove why she is a timeless fashion icon. Attending the Chanel Cruise show, the actress turned heads in a stunning black gown that combined classic elegance with a daring modern twist. Captured against a beautiful coastal backdrop, Kidman looked effortless yet high-fashion. Her ensemble perfectly balanced sophisticated coverage in the front with a dramatic reveal in the back, leaving onlookers breathless.

Nicole Kidman goes completely backless in super bold Chanel dress for brand’s Cruise 2026/27

Nicole Kidman is no stranger to making a statement on the red carpet, but her latest appearance for Chanel is truly one for the books. The actress stepped out in a sleek, floor-length black gown that initially appears modest from the front. The dress features long sleeves and a sophisticated draped neckline that frames her face beautifully. However, the real magic happens when she turns around.

The gown features a dangerously low, open back that dips all the way to the waist. This completelybacklessdesign is held together by delicate, thin straps and a striking black feather embellishment that sits right at the center of the back. This feathery detail adds a touch of art and texture to the smooth fabric of the dress. The way the fabric hangs creates a soft, flowing look that highlights her tall and lean frame.

To complete the look, Kidman chose accessories that felt both modern and classic. She wore transparent, yellow-tinted sunglasses that gave the outfit a cool, retro vibe. For her feet, she stuck to tradition with simple black pointed-toe heels. These shoes helped to make her silhouette look even longer and more elegant. Every piece of the outfit worked together to create a look that was both bold and very polished.

Her beauty look stayed soft to balance the sharp look of the dress. Her blonde hair was pulled back into a soft, messy bun with wispy bangs that framed her face. This choice was smart because it kept her hair away from her shoulders, allowing everyone to see the dramatic back of the dress. By keeping her jewelry minimal and her makeup natural, Kidman ensured that the dress remained the main attraction.

UK PM Starmer faces vote on possible parliamentary probe over Mandelson, Times newspaper reports

LONDON, April 27 (Reuters) - Britain's parliament will vote on Tuesday over a possible inquiry into Prime Minister Keir Starmer, looking ‌at whether he misled the House of Commons over the ‌appointment of former U.S. ambassador Peter Mandelson, the Times newspaper reported.

Reuters

Any such inquiry could have serious implications for Starmer's future. He has so far resisted pressure to quit over his decision to hire Mandelson, but if found to have knowingly misled parliament his position would likely become untenable.

The Times ‌reported that House of Commons Speaker Lindsay Hoyle would approve a request for parliament to debate and vote upon whether the Committee of Privileges should look into the matter.

Mandelson was fired by Starmer last September after his relationship with the late U.S. sex offender Jeffrey Epstein was found to be deeper than previously known.

That has raised doubts about Starmer's ‌judgment in hiring him, exacerbated by the revelation that a security vetting body had described the appointment as a borderline case and that it was leaning against granting clearance - a decision foreign ministry officials overruled without telling the prime minister.

Starmer's Labour Party has a majority ‌in parliament, which could allow the government to instruct its lawmakers to vote down the launch of an inquiry.

If parliament did vote in favour of an inquiry, ‌the committee, made up of lawmakers from the three biggest parties, would examine whether Starmer's statements on Mandelson amount to knowingly or inadvertently misleading the House of Commons.

The focus of any such enquiry ‌would be expected to fall on Starmer's statement that due process was followed when hiring Mandelson.

King Charles III heads to Washington on a delicate mission to restore the UK-US relationship

US-Britain-Royal Visit

Ashootingat a Washington dinner attended byPresident Donald Trumpon Saturday sparked a last-minute security review of the four-day state visit, intended to celebrate the United States’ 250th anniversary, and the U.S.-U.K. “special relationship.”

Buckingham Palace said the king “is greatly relieved to hear that the president, first lady and all guests have been unharmed.” After a security review, the palace said the trip “will proceed as planned.”

Trump praises the king but derides Starmer

A riftbetween the U.K. government and Trump over issues including the Iran war had already raised the political stakes for the British monarch's visit.

In recent weeks, Trump haslambasted Prime Minister Keir Starmerover his unwillingness to join U.S. military attacks on Iran, dismissing Britain’s leader as “not Winston Churchill” — the World War II prime minister who coined the phrase “special relationship” for the U.K.-U.S. bond.

It'spart of a wider riftbetween Trump and the United States’ NATO allies, whom he has called “cowards” and “useless” for not joining action against Iran. Aleaked Pentagon emailsuggested the U.S. could reassess support for the U.K.'s sovereignty over theFalkland Islandsin the south Atlantic. Britain and Argentina fought a 1982 war over the islands, also known as the Islas Malvinas.

The president insists the political chill won’t affect the royal visit. Charles “has nothing to do with that,” Trump said in March, meaning NATO.

The president has spoken in glowing terms about Charles, repeatedly referring to the monarch as his “friend” and a “great guy.”

He also continues to mention his “amazing” trip to the U.K. in September with first lady Melania Trump for anunprecedented second state visit. Starmer hand-delivered the invitation from the king in the Oval Office five weeks after the Republican president returned to office, in a very public attempt to woo the president.

The U.K. royal family laid on pomp and pageantry for the Trumps, with scarlet-clad guardsmen, brass bands and a sumptuous banquet at Windsor Castle.

“President Trump has always had great respect for King Charles, and their relationship was further strengthened by the president’s historic visit to the United Kingdom last year,” White House spokesperson Anna Kelly told The Associated Press. “The president looks forward to a special visit by Their Majesties, which will include a beautiful state dinner and multiple events throughout the week.”

Trump, meanwhile, told the BBC that the king’s visit could “absolutely” help repair the trans-Atlantic relationship.

“He’s fantastic. He’s a fantastic man. Absolutely the answer is yes,” the president said.

Some have called for the trip to be canceled

Kristofer Allerfeldt, a University of Exeter professor specializing in American history, said the two governments have very different objectives for the trip.

He said that for Charles, the trip is about “reinforcing long-term ties, showcasing the monarchy’s soft power and reminding the world that Britain still carries diplomatic weight.”

For Trump, it’s more about “a media event,” with emphasis on the optics of a visit that resembles a meeting of “two gilded monarchs.”

Some U.K. politicians worry that the trip is fraught with opportunities for embarrassment. Trump’s recentbroadsides at Pope Leo XIVhave heightened those concerns.

Ed Davey, leader of the U.K. centrist opposition Liberal Democrats party, earlier this month called Trump “a dangerous and corrupt gangster” and implored the government to cancel the trip.

“I really fear for what Trump might say or do while our king is forced to stand by his side,” Davey said in the House of Commons. “We cannot put His Majesty in that position.”

Starmer defended the visit, saying “the monarchy, through the bonds that it builds, is often able to reach through the decades” and bolster important relationships.

Andrew and Epstein cast a shadow

Raising the stakes is the shadow of the king’s younger brother,Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who has been stripped of his royal title of Prince Andrew, exiled from public life and put under police investigation over his friendship withJeffrey Epstein. He has denied committing any crimes.

Epstein victims have urged the king to meet with them and other sexual abuse survivors. It's unlikely he will do so.

Charles hasvisited the U.S. 19 times, but this is his first state visit to the country since becoming king in 2022.His mother, Queen Elizabeth II, made four state visits to the U.S.

The king, who is 77 and was diagnosed in early 2024 withan undisclosed form of cancer, will spend four days in the U.S. accompanied by Queen Camilla.

In Washington, the king and queen will have a private tea with the Trumps and attend a garden party and a formal White House state dinner. The president and the king will also have a one-on-one meeting.

The royal couple will also visit the Sept. 11 memorial in New York and attend a 250th birthday “block party” in Virginia, where Charles will also meet Indigenous leaders involved in nature conservation — a favorite cause of the environmentalist king.

Three centuries after Britain’s kings and queens gave up any real political power, the royals remain symbols of soft power, deployed by elected governments to smooth international relationships and send messages about what the U.K. considers important.

A key moment will be the king’s speech to the U.S. Congress on Tuesday. It’s only the second time, after Queen Elizabeth II in 1991, that a U.K. monarch has addressed a joint meeting of both houses.

Elizabeth praised liberalism on that trip, spoke against the idea that “power grows from the barrel of a gun” and praised the “rich ethnic and cultural diversity of both our societies.”

The king’s treasured causes, including the environment and harmony among religious faiths, are in contrast to Trump’s. He's unlikely to accentuate differences, but Allerfeldt said that, in the monarch’s subtle way, the king could use his speech to send a message.

“He does have an unorthodox way of looking at the world, and I think maybe he can actually have something valid to say when he addresses Congress,” Allerfeldt said.

Jill Lawless reported from London.
