Governor Janet Mills of Maine is embroiled in an angry face-off with Trump over trans athletes that's divided her voters, sparked a damaging recall petition, and upended politics in the usually sleepy state capital, Augusta. A state known for its rocky coastline and tasty lobsters has been roiled by protests, as a hitherto quiescent Republican minority has come out in force as foot soldiers on the front-lines of Trump's war on wokery.
