The View's Ana Navarro has declared JD Vance a 'DEI hire' - due to him being a self-professed 'hillbilly'. The Republican talk show panelist made the remark on CNN NewsNight With Abby Phillip Monday after several GOP lawmakers made the same claim about last-minute Joe Biden replacement Kamala Harris. Navarro, in turn, honed in on Vance's hayseed heritage, which he himself leaned into in his 2016 tome 'Hillbilly Elegy' that harked back to Appalachian roots and his family in rural Kentucky.
